Donkey Cart Moving Co. is a company brand and web presence designed and created in 2015. The name and brand are lighthearted and whimsical. The theme of brown packing paper and boxes visually represents the nature of the business itself. The logo is flat and minimal, yet playful and inviting. Almost as if it was paper doll a child would make out of leftover packing paper.
Donkey Cart Moving Co. is designed to be reminiscent of a small, ‘ole fashioned, family owned business. The modern website and social media channels bring the business model up to current standards. A fully responsive and robust business site with web form estimates, customer reviews, job listings, moving tips, rss feeds, and themed social media channels. Custom coded and built on top of Drupal leveraging SASS and Compass during development.

DESIGN
A clean, minimal design facilitated branding consistency through out different marketing channels. A mock-up for the site, logo, T-shirts and other marketing materials was used to show brand reinforcment through differnt mediums. The visual theme and style was meant to be precise and pleasing. The light brown on white creates a clean, comfortable color palette, as well as visually representing the nature of the business.
Hopefully the visual design should help visitors connect to a comfortable moving experience in a engaging and appealing way.
STRUCTURE
A 15 page site was built with a simple 3 column, responsive layout. A traditional horizontal menu containing the site 6 main pages sits below the main banner. A homepage with an image slider containing multiple call to action buttons throughout the slides. An estimates page containing a robust web form would be the main actionable page to drive visitors to. Customer reviews, moving tips, and quick quotes would fill out the site's main areas of interest.

IMPLEMENTATION
The site was built with Drupal 7. A custom theme and plugins would implement the visual design on top of the Drupal core. SASS and Compass were utilized in during the development to allow for a more efficient workflow and better dispersion of thematic elements.
Custom nodes and content types were grouped into blocks and used to display relavent information as the visitor navigates the site. Responsive elements allow for a proper, functional display state on range of devices and screen sizes. All custom code is semantic and WC3 complaint.
Although the company brand and site were never released to the potential client due to finacial issues, a copy of the entire site is hosted here
